How long does a bathroom renovation take?
A complete bathroom renovation takes about 4 weeks on site. An ensuite takes 2–3 weeks, and a bathroom where the plumbing moves takes 5–6 weeks. Kitchens take 5–7 weeks because the cabinetry has to be manufactured first.

What happens in those four weeks
- Strip-out. Tiles, fixtures and wall linings out, rubbish into the skip. This is where hidden damage shows up in older homes — if it does, you get a written price before anything else happens.
- Rough-in. Plumbing and electrical run to the fixture positions.
- Waterproofing. Applied to AS 3740 and left to cure before any tile goes on.
- Tiling. Floor and walls.
- Fit-off and handover. Vanity, toilet, screen and tapware go in; you get the waterproofing certificate and a walk-through.
What makes it take longer
- Moving plumbing to new walls (adds 1–2 weeks)
- Damage found behind the walls or under the floor
- Changing a fixture or tile choice after work has started
You get the start and finish dates in writing, and we start when we say we will. We would rather quote a date we can hit than a short one we can’t.

5–6 weeks. Moving plumbing to new positions adds roughly one to two weeks to a complete bathroom.

A complete kitchen takes 5–7 weeks including joinery, because cabinetry takes 6–8 weeks to manufacture after the layout is signed off. A facelift takes 1–2 weeks.
